Attending the EA winter showcase last week there was plenty of huge tittles on show, but as is often the case it was a small tittle hiding in the corner that got us most excited. WARP was that game and from the short time we got to spend with it i was instantly hooked and could tell its going to be brilliant.
Original, funny, cute and tasking the same thing that first peeked our interest on our first play through of Portal all those years ago.
You take the role of Zero an Alien that has been abducted by scientists from his own world and held captive at the underwater research facility. Zero has a secret though he can WARP, he can go through walls, into containers and even people.
You can then charge what ever you are inside of by wiggling he left stick until it explodes. Obviously with lethal consequences for your host, but if you are not that way inclined the whole game can be played without harming a soul.
Each room has a variety of puzzles to over come, this might be as simple as following a flashing pattern on the ground, to avoiding lasers or armed guards. The better you get the more confident you can become, and you can even warp into one soldier and get the others to shoot their friend to try and kill you.
Warp provides a completely unique experience with endless replayability, letting gamers master their abilities and find the most effective ways to solve puzzles and advance through levels.
