The most successful Irish film of all time and the highest grossing independent film ever grossing over 4.3million euro at the box office, The Guard is set for its DVD and Blu-Ray release on December the 2nd just in time for Christmas.

The incredibly dark comedy starring Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle focusses on a small town Irish Guard who suddenly finds himself embroiled in a massive international drug smuggling operation and finds an unlikely ally in FBI agent Wendell Everett (Cheadle) 

The New release features an extra 70 minutes of bonus material along with Directors commentary with Gleeson and Cheadle and a short film “The Second Death”.
