Techland Announce That Dying Light Will Not Be Releasing on Last Gen Machines.

The developers of upcoming action adventure horror game “Dying Light” have issued a statement regarding the development of the title on last-gen platforms. A post that appeared on the games Facebook page states that “older consoles just couldn’t run the game and stay true to the core vision of Dying Light at the same time”.

Features such as the use of realistic physics based lighting technologies and having up to 200,000 objects displayed on screen at once really start to test the boundaries of the Next-gen consoles which didn’t stack up well for the older last gen machines, so to ensure players get the experience that the studio have envisioned they have made the tough call to limit its release to Next Gen and PC only.

This is surely bad news for fans of the genre who have yet to upgrade from the last-gen consoles.
