Toy Soldiers comes From Signal Studios and published by Microsoft game studios exclusively for xbox 360 arcade.   A brilliant idea where you control an army of toy WW1 soldiers. But they are not stationary objects stuck to a plastic base these guys are fully animated.  We have seen a few games like this where you set up your defences and wave after wave of enemies come at you and you have to hold them off. Aspects that we have seen before such as picking and setting the type and location of defensive weapons are in here killing enemies gains you money which can be in turn spent on more weapons etc. But how this one differs is that you can take control of the unit to control the firing location your self. So as the wave of attacking soldiers is piling across the battlefield you can take control of the machine guns turrets and open up on the enemy. This is a nice feature as it brings you into the game a lot more rather than just watching as your defences fire mindlessly at the wrong target you can now get in there and help hold off the attackers. Take control of squads of soldiers such as snipers, cavalry fighter pilots mortar teasm and massive artillery guns. This is really well presented game from the loading screens of old fashioned toy soldiers boxes to the game its self with lovely European locations and great old fashioned WW1 movie soundtrack. The soldiers themselves have been beautifully animated to be both pleasing on the eye but also fun you control and watch blown apart.
Multiplayer options allow you to take on your friends on the same console in a split screen or across the LIVE network. Costing 1200points on the LIVE marketplace this is a fun and entertaining arcade game that will keep you hooked. We have had tons of fun with this one and its very impressive for an arcade title.
