SOCOM 4 : Bad news for fans of Socom with news that Socom 4 has been put back until 2011. This will be a huge blow to Sony who need a good shooter for their move launch in September.
From the Zipper Blog “We can confirm that SOCOM 4 will be released in 2011. The team is focusing on additional features which will help to deliver the most compelling and immersive SOCOM experience yet. Please look out for further updates and announcements over the coming months. While we’re certainly aware that you’ve been looking forward to playing SOCOM 4 this year, we don’t want to take any shortcuts. Instead, we want to deliver the best and most immersive SOCOM game we possibly can and we’re going to use our extra time to do just that".

HALO REACH : The most anticipated xbox game of the year surely is Halo reach. Almost 3 million fans got a tast of the multiplayer aspect in the beta testing that took place over the last few weeks. So the 14th of September is the date set for the full release. Halo has inspired books comics action figures and talks of even a movie and has sold over 34 million games worldwide. So the interest is massive. Reach is a prequel and will aim to show you where it all started. Phil Spencer corporate vice president said. "Halo: Reach’ will push the boundaries for what’s possible in video games and help make 2010 the biggest year in Xbox history.”

LITTLE BIG PLANET 2 : Sony have great news for all fans of the little Sackboy. The little guy will be back in a brand new game full of new stories, levels stickers and objects. Sony said "Gather round Sackfolk, and listen up, we have something to show you – now sit down, take a deep breath, and look at this; it’s our brand new game, LittleBigPlanet 2! It’s been a long time in the making, a lot of hush-hush and knowing winks, but we’re incredibly excited to be lifting the veil at last, and showing you what we’ve been up to for the last year or two. We simply can’t wait to tell you everything about it, there’s so many new tools and objects in here that will grant you ultimate creative power to build amazing things, not just vastly improved levels, but entire games too, you’ll see".

ALAN WAKE : Turn down the lights but keep your flashlight and batteries handy, as Xbox 360 unveils “Bright Falls,” a six-part live action series that serves as a thrilling prequel to the mystery unfolding in “Alan Wake.”  Each episode will bring you to the edge of your seat and spur your curiosity with the same eerie and suspenseful cliffhangers as in the game.  The first two episodes of “Bright Falls” will be available for viewing in Ireland exclusively on Xbox LIVE on April 30 before debuting at BrightFalls.com on May 4.  New episodes will then be released on May 8 and May 14, leading up to the shocking conclusion with the final two episodes on May 18.

INFINITY WARD CLEAROUT : The fallout continues as Infinity Ward looses even more staff. Today programmer Jon Shiring announced via his Twitter page that he has left IW. He didnt expand on why or where he is going to next. This follows the loss of Senior animator Bruce Ferriz who left for Big Red Entertainment based in Santa Monica and Lead designer Mackey McCandish, Todd Alderman and Francesco Gigliotti. All this of course follows last months sacking of IW co-founders Vince Zampella and Jason West. What is left for IW nobody knows. But im sure the Activision effect cant be ruled out.

HEAVY RAIN : Sony have announce that the triller Heavy Rain has sold it 1 millionth copy this week. The exciting triller from Quantic Dreams hit the milestone only 5 weeks after release. Speaking about its success David Cage said "It has been hugely gratifying to see the positive responce that Heavy Rain has received from gamers".

ALAN WAKE : Mircosoft announce that the release date for ALAN WAKE has been brought foward by 1 week to the 14th of May. Set to be one of the games of the year this is welcome news for XBOX users.
