The original Flashpoint game took realistic gunplay to a whole new level. It is now set to return to the next gen machines with the ultra realistic shooter that may leave arcade shooters like modern warfare 2 looking like a kid's game. This game takes place on a 100+square mile fictional island located off the north coast of Japan called Skira. The island becomes the center of an armed conflict when a large untapped oil and gas reserve is discovered there. The game begins as the player arrives as part of the United States Marine Corps and tasked with capturing the island on behalf of the Russians from the Chinese military.

The scale of the island is pretty unheard of, it will take over 9 hours to get from one end to the other by foot, 4 hours in a jeep or 20mins by helicopter. The island will feature some small towns but they have been evacuated before the arrival of the US troops. Flashpoint will feature an online co-op story mode as well as true multilayer battles 16 v16 on PC 4 v4 on console. It will feature ultra realistic modern weapons with genuine real sound effects !!. Realistic vehicles and soldier modeling. It will most importantly include realistic combat so there is no energy regenerating and one hit could kill you.

Set for release on Oct the 9th it should give fans of tactical shooters a lot to look forward to. The level of tought and detail that has gone into this game is amazing we are tipping this to be one of the best games of the year for all the people that hate the run and gun headless chicken approach modern warfare seems to favour this is a must buy.
