WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 Like any legend, this one is dying
There was a time when the WWE franchise of games ruled the wrestling categoy. Each sequel from the beginning of the SmackDown series was awaited for eagerly, with myself as part of the pack.

However, recently the franchise has been dying. The thing that these games have failed to do is improve vastly from year ater year. All the developers seem to do is add a new match or two every year, and try to do something different in Career mode. That is not evolution. That is ignorantly standing still, while you believe that you ae doing well.
Tha gameplay is virtually the same from year to year, as are the graphics. And even with the PS3's vastly superior game capacity, they fail to include a full roster in any of the games.
If you think you want a new wrestling game, don't get one. Keep the one you have instead, since it's virtually the same. But if you insist on getting one, get TNA instead.
You can't improve by standing still, which is what this franchise has done.
SCORE 55/100
