Announced Today from the show floor at GDC by CEO Paddy Murphy is the news we have been waiting for. Open Emotion studio’s are making the big step up from the Mini’s market and are going to release their first Vita exclusive title. “Mad Blockers Adventures” will be getting released on the PSN around Spring time 2012 in glorious full HD and including a number of other features like customization of your power ups, and online multiplayer & co-op.
Mad Blockers has come a long way from the initial web based flash game, it was a huge success then and led the team onto releasing a new version for the Mini’s market which was really well received by both critics and fans alike.
The next natural step for the team is to start building bigger and better games and this is just what they are doing. Mad Blockers Adventures will be released in the first quarter of 2012 and will feature up to 60 levels, full customization of your power ups, high definition graphics, new character animations and a number of different game types including online co-op and head to head, and it will launch as a PS Vita Exclusive as a digital download at a very reasonable price.
The team are going to be busier than ever with continued work on the Mini’s market including titles such as Revoltin Youth out this month, and I Kill Zombies set for release around Halloween. Mad blockers HD set for next year and another big project of a similar level being referred to as “Be Free 2012” by those trying to figure out just what they are up to.
