Nintendo Classic Mini: Launches in Ireland

Nintendo have finally released the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System, in Ireland. Newcomers and veterans alike can enjoy the classics of yesteryear, complete with new features such as high-definition visual modes and multiple save points. The system itself is a great stocking filler and will cost around €65 if you can get your hands on it, in true Nintendo form they have released into a market with low stock levels to create panic buying.

The system itself comes with 30 games pre-installed and unfortunately no option to add more. It does however have a HDMI cable and runs at 60fps so modern TV’s can display the image really well but if you want some nostalgia overload you can use the CRT feature to add flicker lines to really create the old school view. In the box you will also find one controller, it is a remake of the original but with some added functionality for saving and navigating the system.

Whether it’s rediscovering an old favourite or experiencing the joy of NES for the first time, the collection of included NES titles should have something for all players, with legendary adventures, iconic platforming and beloved arcade classics. The included titles are:
