PlayersXpo 2017

PlayersXpo 2017 is almost upon us, Ireland’s Ultimate Gaming Event, which is coming to the Convention Centre in Dublin on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October – now extended to include two bumper six hour sessions each day (9.00am – 3.00pm and 4.00pm – 10.00pm). With a show-stopping line-up of top International acts and gaming industry legends, a limited number of tickets are still available as fans from all over the country are set to flock to meet their heroes and get hands-on with some of this year’s most anticipated video games!

Making their first ever Irish appearance, YouTube superstars Slogoman, Jelly and Sanna will be joined by the godfather of gaming John Romero, Ireland’s own award-winning composer and conductor Eimear Noone and a host of special guests on the PX2017 main stage, where the audience will enjoy a series of interactive panel discussions, open Q&A sessions and roof raising musical performances.

Featuring all the hottest games and franchise favourites like FIFA 18, Rocket Leagues, Overwatch, Mario and Minecraft, visitors will also have the chance to experience the ultimate in virtual and augmented reality, as they unleash their inner Jedi with an exclusive look at Disney and Lenovo’s “Star Wars: Jedi Challenges” or paint like Picasso in the 3D world of Google’s incredible Tilt Brush.

Commenting on the announcement of the extended sessions, Michael Finucane Creative Director of PlayersXpo said: “From the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland to the 501st Legion, there really is something for everyone at PlayersXpo so we’re thrilled to be extending the sessions to give fans more time to enjoy it all! This is Ireland’s Ultimate Gaming event, so naturally it’s all about the very best games and the very latest technology, with visitors also given the opportunity to take on John Romero in a Deathmatch battle of doom, meet and greet YouTube royalty, enjoy live orchestral performances of retro game tune classics from the 80’s and even get helpful hints and tips on how to play safe online – all under one roof!”

Welcoming the very best of homegrown talent with AllCast Irish Gamers, Anti-Tinkerbell (Tink) and Retro Gamer Ireland joining the bill, PX2017 is also proud to be hosting the official first play of Mindframe Arena, the all-new flagship game from Dublin based Irish game and app development company Fierce Fun.

Fans are encouraged to book their tickets in advance on www.players.ie to avoid disappointment, before they plan and play their way through this exciting expo, with the chance to bag some cool swag, win some really great prizes, and even take part in some wacky cosplay competitions along the way!
